Pepperdine University’s School of Public Policy offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff
Up to 75% tuition scholarships
All City Year applicants to Pepperdine’s School of Public Policy will be eligible to receive up to 75% tuition scholarships, as well as additional benefits, depending on your eligibility tier level:
- Tier One: P4 applicants with a GPA of 3.8 or higher who are admitted into the Master of Public Policy program are now guaranteed tuition scholarships of 75 percent. We are also waiving the Ethical & Moral Dilemma Essay and the Professional Letter of Recommendation.
- Tier Two: P4 applicants with a GPA of 3.5 to 3.799 who are admitted into the Master of Public Policy program are now guaranteed tuition scholarships of 50 percent. We are also waiving the Ethical & Moral Dilemma Essay and and the Professional Letter of Recommendation.
P4 applicants with GPAs less than 3.5 will be considered for significant tuition scholarships. All P4 applicants, regardless of GPA, are guaranteed early class registration for their first semester and we are waiving the Professional Letter of Recommendation.
Scholarships are awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff employed for at least two years.

- Eligibility for the transfer of six elective credits (pending review of program elements and based on criteria set forth in the academic catalog)

To identify your City Year affiliation and apply for the scholarship
To identify your City Year affiliation, please start your application. Next, upload only your undergraduate transcript (showing your courses and cumulative GPA) and résumé (include your City Year affiliation). For the question “Are you affiliated with one of our partner organizations?”, select “Yes” and type in “City Year”. Wait to upload your ethical/moral dilemma essay and official test scores. Then, submit your application (this does not finalize your application).
You will be able to return and complete your application once your tier level is confirmed. Your documents will be reviewed, and your tier level will be emailed to you.
