The University of Michigan’s Law School offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff
$15,000 scholarships
A $15,000 annual scholarship will be awarded for the Juris Doctor program to all admitted City Year applicants who have not already been awarded a merit scholarship.
The scholarship will be renewed in subsequent years provided recipients maintain continuous registration and remain in good academic standing, according to Michigan Law School standards.
Scholarships are awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff employed for at least two years.
The scholarships described above represent the minimum awards; applicants will be considered for additional need-based and merit-based aid.

- Enrollment deferral: Michigan Law School will allow deferrals for up to one year if accepted applicants decide to serve additional time with City Year.

Please include your City Year affiliation on your résumé, specifying your service site and dates of service, in order to be awarded the City Year Scholarship if you are admitted.

To get the application fee waived, please visit this page. If your request is granted, Michigan Law School will email you a fee waiver coupon number that can be entered on the payment page when you submit your application through the Law School Admission Council.
