Thank you for your generous support of City Year Detroit’s Red Jacket Gala.  In light of recent increases in health concerns in Detroit due to the COVID-19 virus and restrictions that many local organizations are placing on large gatherings and events, we have decided to hold this event at a later time and avoid contributing any potential spread of COVID-19. The safety of our staff, our AmeriCorps members, our partners and our community is a top priority for us, and we hope you understand this decision.

We will be sure to provide you with event updates as they become available. We truly hope to see you and your guests at the rescheduled Red Jacket Gala (date TBD). Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time, and for your continued support of our City Year AmeriCorps members and their work to support the students of Detroit.

This year’s Red Jacket Gala is extra special– we’re celebrating 20 years of powerful service and impact in Detroit!

At the Red Jacket Gala, you’ll experience an inspirational evening dedicated to highlighting our City Year AmeriCorps members, our students and school partners, and the communities within which we serve.

What’s more, your participation in the gala will ensure that our AmeriCorps members can serve even more students through tutoring, mentoring, classroom support, and after school programs. It is with your support that they can fulfill their commitment as academic success coaches helping students reach their fullest potential.
