5 Ways You Can Support City Year Milwaukee
Service may look different during these unprecedented times, but our AmeriCorps members continue to stay committed to service. Below you will find more information about opportunities to support our young people, especially our AmeriCorps members, and continue to support our City Year Milwaukee community. Thank you for what you do and will continue to do in support of our mission and our beloved City Year community.
Host learning workshops & webinars for AmeriCorps members
Whether you have an expertise in career-readiness skills or have a passion for your career, we are looking for volunteer facilitators that can help us provide professional development experiences to our young adult AmeriCorps members. Contact Orlando to share your interest in hosting a virtual workshop.
Share job opportunities with our AmeriCorps members
Do you know of hiring opportunities at a company or organization that would be a great fit for an AmeriCorps member? Our AmeriCorps members are looking to make a difference in a variety of fields after their May graduation. Contact Carin to share job opportunities and/or companies that are looking to hire soon.
Share an inspirational message
As our AmeriCorps members have moved to virtual service, we’re hoping to pass along some wisdom from our community members. Fill out this form to share advice and inspiration.
Tell a young person (18-25 years old) to apply to City Year Milwaukee
Do you know of a young person who is passionate about serving others and looking to develop as a leader? City Year is actively recruiting for the 2020-2021 class of AmeriCorps members who are ready to create change in their community. Share this interest form with a young person, so they can be connected to our local recruiter.
Donate supplies to our AmeriCorps members
Our AmeriCorps members live on modest living stipends and many are away from their social support systems. These items will support them while social distancing, as well as to help us welcome Corps 11 in a special way. We’ve created an amazon list for ease of use – please feel free to purchase items from any store and use this list as your guide. Have the items mailed to our office or coordinate with Tamara to deliver. If ordering through Amazon, please leave a note in the comment section mentioning who it is from so we can thank you.
