4 City Year locations with great transportation benefits

Living on a stipend, the cost of transportation can become challenging or feel overwhelming. Thanks to generous local partners, many of our AmeriCorps members can commute with a little more peace of mind.  Every City Year site has its own set of local partnerships with benefits for their AmeriCorps members. Benefits vary by location; here are four cities with transportation assistance:

Miami

AmeriCorps members serving with City Year Miami receive a free monthly Miami Dade Transit pass, making it easy to tap and go when you board the Metrobus or Metrorail on your way to service. In fact, public transport is so encouraged in Miami, that Miami-Dade Transit shared data on how taking public transportation also improves your health!

AmeriCorps members in Miami enjoy using their pass to get to local music festivals and sporting events. The city also has brand new art and science museums that are accessible from public transit.

Monthly savings estimate: $112.50

New Hampshire

Our City Year New Hampshire AmeriCorps members receive a free monthly Manchester Transit Authority bus pass. The MTA is the largest public transportation provider in the state. Additionally, City Year AmeriCorps members receive free parking passes for a downtown lot close to the City Year New Hampshire office–which makes carpooling to professional development office days easy!
