The City Year San Antonio Board supports the mission of City Year San Antonio through public relations, fundraising, and developing sustainability strategies for our site. Board members are integral to our success and support us in fulfilling our mission.
Robert Buchek joined the City Year San Antonio Board in December 2016. He is the Director of Product Supply at Valero Energy. Valero Energy Corporation is a Fortune 500 company based in San Antonio, and through its subsidiaries is the world’s largest independent petroleum refiner and marketer. Robert joined Valero Energy in 2007, and has since served in a number of roles in Strategic Planning, Business Development and Logistics Operations.
Cesar Carter currently serves as the Director for Leadership Development at HEB. Cesar grew up overseas in Belgium and Turkey for most of his life. This was all due to the fact that his mother served in the United States Air Force for 22 years. The last base she served in before retirement was Lackland Air Force Base. Cesar attended UTSA with his sights set on pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
Andrea Guadarrama is the Senior Manager of Energy Equity, for CPS Energy, the largest municipally-owned utility company in the United States. CPS Energy is located in San Antonio, Texas, and employs over 3,000 employees from all cultures, backgrounds, and levels within the organization. Andrea began her career in finance and safety prior to her role in Enterprise Alignment. She transitioned into a role in Strategic Management where she focuses on supporting planning and execution of enterprise-wide strategies and initiatives.
Paul Hoskins a seasoned entrepreneur and is the Vice President of H2-Launch-SA dba Urban Air. Urban Air is the ultimate indoor adventure park. Paul has led the N.E. San Antonio location to top 5 in sales and won several awards for customer service and sales. From 2004 to 2018, Paul owned P&M Hoskins Enterprises as McDonald’s Franchisees.
Jason leads Executive Communications for Merck Pharmaceuticals, a global biopharmaceutical company that delivers innovative health solutions that advance the prevention and treatment of diseases in people and animals. They strive to create a diverse and inclusive global workforce and operate responsibly every day to enable a safe, sustainable, and healthy future for all people and communities
Ann S. Parker serves on SA Area Foundation’s Strengthening Nonprofits Grant Committee; Advisory Council of San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries (SAMM); Masters Leadership Program’s Diversity Committee; and SA Funders. She is a member of SA100, Impact SA, Friends of Communities in Schools, Masters Leadership Program Alumnae Assn (MLPAA), Cancer Center Council, and Tri-Delta Alumnae.
Isaac Robledo is a Client Service Manager at Capital Group. As a Westside San Antonio native and graduate of Edgewood High School, Isaac is dedicated to serving his community.
Isaac graduated from Edgewood in 1996 and spent the following year with then newly established City Year San Antonio, during which he served in a 2nd-grade public school classroom along with participating in City Year community events.
Courtney Wai is a lifelong educator and learner. She currently serves as a Professional Learning Facilitator at Learning for Justice. She previously taught middle school English as a Second Language (ESL) at Ball Academy in San Antonio ISD and was an adjunct professor for Relay Graduate School of Education. Previously, she worked as the Learning & Development Director for City Year San Antonio.
