Angela Cordova
ACM Learning & Development Director angela.cordova@cityyear.org

Angela has been in the field of education for just under 10 years. She holds a B.A in English from UTSA and a Master’s in Teaching. She's a San Antonio native, and says it has been such a rewarding experience to serve her community.

Angela believes that education is the key to equity, and both unlocks a person's potential and opens the door to any dream they choose. In her career, she has served in several roles including a credit recovery facilitator, high school English teacher, and instructional coach. During her time as a teacher at Lanier High School, she had the privilege of working with members of City Year and was deeply inspired by their mission and goals. To come full circle and be able to contribute to this organization is truly a dream come true for her. Her goal in any position is to develop meaningful connections and create an inclusive space where learners can thrive, and I look forward to accomplishing this at City Year. At home, she shares her life with a loving husband and 2 dogs and cat. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, being in nature, spending time with her nephews and nieces, and trying something new!
